was created in 2006 by Isabel Trautwein, violinist in The Cleveland Orchestra. The idea: creating a group of kids and professionals that want to simply meet and play music together. For the kids this is a wonderful way to feel the energy of high-level playing. For the adults a way to share the passion that inspired us to make this our lives. Many members of The Cleveland Orchestra, as well as CIM faculty members meet at irregular intervals with "our" children. Many are our students, or our own children or just friends we met along the way. We perform in different places, eat Tacos, and revel in the energy that happens when a tune we love has begun. Our youngest players have been around 4 and enjoy playing the first few lines of TACO Bell Canon by Pachelbel.
Our largest concert as of yet was last May at the Cleveland Clinic with over 60 players. Our most distinguished took place in September of 2009 as part of The Cleveland Orchestra's Family Concert on stage at Severance Hall.
TACO hopes to play for many diverse audiences and inspire a strong and irresistible desire to make music.
